What should i do?
I have a question. A friend of mine have AMDX2 3800 Toledo Cache 1mb OCed at 2.7ghz. And i was wondering. Should i get the same processor and do the same or get a AMDX2 6000 instead? should i spend 60$ and Oced or 170$? is there a big leap? is it worth it? he is currently getting good speeds with Crysis, Gears of War and UTIII. Even in PCSX2 is getting 40fps in FF12 and 60 to 80 fps in Monster Hunter

When I got my x2 3800 I thought I might get a 2.6ghz, but not all chips overclock the same.
Also you need a motherboard thats good at overclocking. The way I see it. If you get a x2 3800 you might get close to 3ghz if your really lucky. With a x2 6000, you get 3ghz without hassle or work. If you have a motherboard thats a great overclocker, go for the x2 3800. If your motherboard sucks go for a x2 6000.

yeah those X2's are no core2duos where youre pretty much guaranteed a certain amount of headroom. if you end up going with the lower end model make sure youre prepared to be satisfied with a result of a slower processor.
