Question Yet another router problem...

Yo. This is like my fifth topic asking for help regarding my computer...wow
Anyway, I have a question. I recently had to reboot my computer, install
SP2, and install my D-Link wireless card. My router and card have been working fine before, but now my internet lags soooo much!!
Even at a "Good" connection, I have to wait like 20 minutes for google to load... At first, I thought it was a virus/trojan, but after Avast's scan, It found nothing... Also, it looks like the attenna on my router is broken, but I can still keep it inside the hole where it connects to, and other comps in my house work just fine. I even tried doing Ethernet connection, which actually works great...
So, anyone know how to solve my wireless problem? My D-Link router is DI-524 model.

That the worst thing that could happen to a wireless router..Did it look broken b4 you had your pc reboot? You could try a firmware upgrade. Once broken there's really nothing u can do about it unless you know how to fix it...

Well, it sorta fits back in the hole, and every other computer's internet
speed is just fine...

Do you have it's security enabled? A lot of people seem to forget to enable password protection on their wireless router, making it very easy for other people to hog it's bandwidth.

look at your power cables behind your pc (presuming your adapter on the pc is internal) do they run past the antenna? as this will cause MASSIVE speed problems, despite a "good" connection.

So get them power cables well out of the way of your wireless card
