problem with laptop lcd..

I have 2 identical laptops, hp compaq presario.. the problem is lately I turned on the laptop. and the screen stays white. I could hear the sound of windows starting. but plain white.. I thought there was problems with the connections to the system board I checked them with no luck..

Tried searching google for that.. most of the lcd problems is backlight CCFL, the Inverter.. I can Assure you it's not the problem here.. cause I tried the lcd screen on my other laptop it worked wonderfully.. I don't think there is problem with the graphics card. if there is the laptop wont turn on right! (maybe)..

This is exactally what my lappy did when the cable slipped out of the monitor, and it turned out a little piece of the cable some how chipped off. I was able to fix it with some electric tape.

Make sure there are no defects in the cable from the graphic card and the panel. And make sure the cable is in the panel all the way! If its like mine, it will slip out if its not in right. Altough most laptops will have some sortof plastic stuff over the connectors to hold them in.
