Laptop White Spots (Mura)
Ok so my laptop (latitude x300) has had whitespots for many years now. It was most likely due to heat or pressure. Anyhow needless to say it still works fine but is no longer under warranty. I have a small java program that basically jogs the pixels with various colours and kinda minimizes some of the less pronounced spots but there are are some that are really bad and wont budge.
Does anyone know of a way to remove or minimize the spots. I don't know how much it would cost to replace the screen now that its not under warranty but links for that would also be a good idea if its only a couple hundred. Most hardware forums just say to get a replacement if its under warranty (didn't I just say its not?) or to get a replacement with no links or help on where to do so.
