It's the max. amount of RAM that is allocated in the main system memory for the GPU.
You have 256 MB of RAM, so I would recommend min. 128 MB aperture size. Generally, when you have a bigger aperture size, your GPU can handle bigger textures. NB: the AGP aperture size is not reserved for the GPU, it is the maximum amount that the GPU can use from the system memory! |
