Integraph Intense 3Dfx Voodoo Card

eBay: Integraph Intense 3D Voodoo PCI Video Card (item 8740276687 end time Jan-13-07 04:11:26 PST)

I was lurking around ebay today and found this. I collect old 3dfx Voodoo cards and play around with them on my old comp (see Cathy below) and yeah, I know it's rather pricy. Frankly, I've never heard of this card before. I was wondering if any of you knew anything about this particular model. Thanks.

To me it looks like overpriced crap with 6MB vidmem only priced like that and hope some 3Dfx collector pics it up. Your Voodoo 3 is probably way better than this.

Yeah, I'm assuming so. The 3 cores was one thing that got my attention, but I never assumed it to be all to great. So far, every offer has been turned down.

Blame the lack of new products being released. Have a look at the new Radeon X1950Pro AGP for instance, that card costs about 20 euros more than the PCI-e version but isn't crippled in any way, it completely pwns the 7800GS which costs 40 bucks more.

The only reason AGP is 'outdated' is because the hardware manufacturers said so, not because of it's technical specs.

Heh, i remember this card, back in like '97 i bought one at compusa and paid for installation and the techs couldnt get it to work with my p133 48meg s3virge system. Got a diamond monster 3d instead which i just threw away a few weeks ago when i was cleaning.

Those cards were unstoppable, i remember firing up quake 3 engine games on the voodoo 1 and still getting 30-40fps with some detail turned off.
