Question Predictions on CPU prices

With Conroe in the market.
Intel wants to clear out inventory of older cpus.
Amd is cutting prices, trying to keep up with that.

I know a lot of people that wants a piece of Conroe, heck, I've never had an Intel CPU, but the E6600 is the most tempting cpu right now for me.

What's your predictions on this matter.
How much will the prices collapse?

I'd say that Intel thing i bought for christmas on 3.0ghz will be worth just about 50$ when this happens

well AMD has already done its price cuts but i recon Intel will probably knock about 20% off the price of their old chips

I think the prices for X2 and Core2 CPU's will stay stable until around mid next year.

Quad processors will probably start at a premium price US$600+

I expect Core 2 Duo motherboards will drop in price before then though.

That said, I thought Core2 processors will cost more than they do now, so what do I know?

The thing is that Core duo right now are hard to get.
That's what is making the prices go up.

And I don't know how AMD are going to keep up, being that they spent so much buying ATI, getting their prices down.
