You need input mogster the moogleboi, I'd say those specs are great compared to mine, you should get way better FPS in games than me. Now you made me jealeous of your specs, wishing I had a better computer now

Although, some things could be better, if you had the ($_$) to spend on it
Looks like I'll have to work! work! work!, to buy my new comp:guitar:

well balanced, that would be my input. x800xl's are no longer concidered up there with the best, but you should be able to play pretty much everything if you keep the res and detail down a notch

indeed, things i would change

X800XL - i would say a bare minimum of an X850XT here, preferalbly an x1800 or a geforce 7600 minimum.

Antec TruePower II 380watt PSU - you might want to consider one over 400 watts, altho 380 "might" be enough, its kinda pushing it a bit, id recommend being more towards 450-500watts

oh and nobody answered your questions

Oh and one question. Standby
Does anything got hot? Can it hurt my PC?
Nope infact quiet the opposite, things go into power saving mode, it all runs cooler, infact i think on a proper PC it turns it off and pages the current memory do disc, but this is made more for laptops.
It sucks power. What happens if I turn it off at the plug?
Well, some motherboards dont save the bios settings correctly, but it shouldnt be a problem, but the amount of power it uses when off is neglegable, id leave it on
How does it work anyway?
ive said above all i know about standby :P

Thanks
So everything is fine, but the graphics card choice was dumb : /

Well my Dad will kill me if he finds he got £100 ripped off, but then again, the same PC at Dell was like £1000+ (we paid £700). Plus we did buy it from a retailer, so the price wasn't bad I suppose.

If I wasn't dumb about where I bought it from I could have got a D960, and X1900 for the price
The HDD has heat "issues", so I think seagate would have been better..

ECS motherboard... Can't say I have any knowledge of the company, the onboard sound is ****e (as usual) but the price was right at £70.
Also the memory is a "Nanya brand" .
I stole the sound blaster from my old PC, overall it's okay...
It would be perfect if I hadn't been dumb and chose somewhere else to buy from...

Thanks for answering the questions
I'm just gonna get on and use it once the fan is installed.
Correction, I just wasted two weeks on it...
Oh well, it's a shock to the system...
