but it says : 'PCI-ED' not SLI, not PCIex 16x. i'm afraid if i'm put 2 vga cards, that will blow my mobo away.
any idea how to test it?

which website did you find this at?

Update: http://www.biostar-usa.com/mbdetails.asp?model=915p-a7c ok you have the Biostar i915P-A7C model motherboard. I dont know what the PCI-ED is for. anyways this si some weird ****. It says there a 1 x PCI-E x16 and a 1 x PCI-Extreme (compatible with most PCI-E x16 cards). So I suppose that as long as the PCI-Extreme is compatible with whatever your throwing it with then its ok. This motherboard looks really cheap. If you are afriad that it will fry, find something thats more reliable to yourself. Dont buy it cuz its cheap. Cheap stuff will usually just blow up for no reason.

I found this @ http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0LaSt3EYb...php%3ft=252427

Quote:
PCI Extreme is (from what i could find out) a software package that accelarates graphic cards on MAC OS 10.2. It is about normal PCI graphic cards.
PCI Express, on the other hand is the new stadard in mobo slots, which provides a lot higher bandwidth than AGP 8x:
AGP 8x - 2.1 GB/s
PCI-X 16x ~ 4GB/s - almost double than AGP 8x

Read the following:

http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/8979 - PCI Extreme
http://www.ati.com/products/radeonxp...ies/index.html - as an example for PCI Express
http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1087 - Read this for PCI Express
http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.c...id=1087&page=5
PCI-Extreme is some other form of video card slot. One confusing thing that I picked up researching this was, PCI-Extreme some type of MAC form vid card?? maybe thats why its only compatible wiht some PCIEx16 video cards.
