Should I Buy it ?

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...BM-MK8939-3500
Why it is so cheap ? Is it faulty ? Should I buy it ?
(My computer has just broken I want to buy a new CPU+ mainboard and I see it)
BTW what are the differences between Clawhammer and Venice core (I heard that Venice has SSE3 and Clawhammer don't) do I need SSE3 (my old CPU is Prescott and I don't see any benefit from SSE3)? Can I overclock Clawhammer core ?

exactly what hushypushy said. Athlon 3500+ is worth like 110$ or so. Therefore this motherboard is worth very little

hm... all these combos are ok. but the price makes it unreliable. an AMD Athlon 3500+ is at like 110$ right now. the 3200+ is at like $100 tops. so all that would mean that the motherboard would be like $20 - $30. but within the three, I would go for the MSI RX480 Neo2-F ATI Socket 939 ATX Motherboard and an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2.20GHz OEM Processor - http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...323250&CatId=0 because first it has Athlon 3500+, second ATI onBoard just in case your real vid card ****s up. other than that MSI and Asus are good brand. you can overclock the 3500+ to a 3800+ speed. but double check to see if the MSI motherboard can overclocks good enough. i think the Asus OC a bit better than the MSI, not sure.

iono why motherboard companies still put PCIex1 suckas on the board still. who uses that crap?

Thank I will think more about it
I think Asus not good as people say.My old Mobo is a Asus it cos me about 150 $(not a hight end but not very cheap) when I buy it 3 year ago and it stop funtion right after the warranty end (I didn't overclock my CPU since Nothwood and Prescott are pretty hot).Good job ASUS

I'd tend to use PCIe 1x for ethernet, SATA, PATA, etc. It's not really designed for video, it's designed to phase out your normal PCI slots with a (very) narrow form-factor slot.

What I don't understand is the odd idea that they'd stick two PCIe 1x slots between my two PCIe 16x slots (on an SLI board). That basically means that I can go SLI or use PCIe peripherals... but not both. The cards that are really worth doing SLI on tend to take up two slots anyways (mine does).
