Question ati produce a whole card?is it possible

when i was searching in the market for GEGABYTE RADEON 9600 pro i have found a card named ATI radeon 9600 xt , then i looked at the box to see the name of the manufacturer of the card but i didn't see any other name
is it possible that ATI is producing the whole crad?, i know that ati is company that only produce radeon chepsets on other company's cards
like gegebyte or assus..... am i right?

um no both nvidia and ati do produce cards exclusively by there own companies for their chipsets. usually these cost a fair bit more than 3rd party ones though.

They will be virtually identical, manufacturing qulaity might differ slightly, but considering that both are reputable companies it won't be any difference you'll notice.

Nvidia produces reference boards and engineering samples etc, however they never have offered a massively commercially available product like ATi has. ATi has BBA (Built By ATi), but you wont find any BBNVDA in stores 99% of the time if ever.

Nope. Just adding to what others have said: they don't produce in others. The others produce their cards taking Ati or Nvidia by reference.

it's almost impossible, in theory you could check the serial number on the card with ATI or the manifacturer.

Sapphire make virtually all (if not all now) the ATI branded cards.
