I'm surprised there wasn't an earthquake when the X-Box hit the ground.

My first-generation PS2 survived a lot of physical damage back in 2002/03 when it was my sole console (and still works but is in retirement.) My PAL Gamecube survived being thrown against a wall as well.

Quite a nice "experiment." Reminds me of an old magazine I used to read. They used to have a monthly article where they'd take consoles/peripherals to pieces under the headline "We invalidate the warranty: so you don't have to."

Quite off-topic, but my SNES did survive a lot of falls. Not exactly falls, but throws, people did not notice the controllers wires and...

EDIT: I would like to know if the controller ports and games did still work correctly after all this.

The US Air Force should just buy all the pre-owned X-Boxes (as they're many and cheap ) and drop them on Iraq/Afghanistan. A lot cheaper than bombs and (probably) more destructive.

Well, of course. With mine, and all my friends first PS2s, we looked at ours and the DVD drive broke, without even doing anything.... damn faulty japenese electronics
