Samsung 308 B Headphone Problem

When I plug my headphones into the front of my Samsung 308B DVD/CDRW (installed in Dell Dimension 21000) I hear nothing through the headphones. They work fine in the jack in my sound card and my speakers work fine.

The Samsung 308B on my work computer died or something. It doesn't work anymore (it cant read anything I put in there). BUt anyways thats not the point. The point is, your CD Drive is probably not hook up with the audio cable.
