Heating Laptop Problem

I dunno what to do anymore. I previously had this problem before but i got it fixed by cleaning the fan out. It's been just over 2 months and it came back again! It swiches off randomly (overheat protection) and doesn't run at full speed. Eg, i play the HD mgs4 15min trailer and it hangs. The sound goes on but the actully video stops, plays a little big and stops again. Same with emus. I can ussaly run SSF with no problems. Now even the intro is sloppy. It's a 3.2Ghz but it acts like it was a 1.2Ghz . Any suggestions what else i can do?

Maybe the rest of the insides are also clogged with dust? if that's the case you will have to clean the insides out with compressed air

Yeah have it dusted out with high pressured air. Who manufactured the laptop? If you know maybe you can buy replacement fans on it. If you do get it straightened out then buy cooler for your laptop.

Check out ebay or company website to see if they sell parts. Like Dell has forums where you can ask what to do in situation like this.

If it is a Toshiba, they are known to have this problem (the P4 3.2Ghz anyways). I read a lot about it, as I also had this problem, so I used compressed air as they mentioned. Also, if your fans are not running properly, a Toshiba depot center can repair it for you. I wouldn't take a laptop apart though, especially if you don't know what you are doing. There is just too much of a chance that something will go wrong.

Also, I recommend getting one of these (Chill Pad):

After buying one of these, I've never had a heat problem again
