cant print anything becuase no cyan ink

I have this wierd problem with my Epson Stylus CX5400, i ran out of Cyan ink and it wont print anything for example, printing a document as the document requires black ink, also the option i set in my Microsoft Word print properties to Print Black Only.

It just wont print!!!!, my old printer use to print black even though the colours ran out

thanks for the help

The easiest thing to do is to get more ink, I think Epsons are made so that you need all the ink tanks to contain ink to print

It just means that the firmware is set up to check if the ink tanks are "empty" it make you buy more ink cartriges, printer companies make a loss for every printer they sell, the profit comes from the ink, some printers just think the tank is empty depending on how many prints instead of actual capacity, you can buy a refill kit or a new ink cartrige to get it to work
