Talking Want to buy a new video card for laptop....ideas?

Hey everybody, well im sittin around tinkerin with a couple game configurations, just random games when i thought it would be nice to buy a new card for my Dell Inspiron 7500 laptop. Now right now im ruffin it with an ATI Rage P/M AGP2x with 8mb ram........not a whole lot as u can see. Now the problem i see is findin an affordable video card, not too expensive. If u ask i will give u my system configurations...

Cheers,
Dan Russo

I had a GeForce2Go in my old Inspiron 8000, I'm not sure, but this may work in yours as well. I got the card (32 MB video) on ebay still sealed for around $40.

I've only heard of a few newer laptops having replaceable video cards so you're probably stuck with what you have.

My Inspiron 8000 had a replaceable video card, not onboard video. I had a choice of either an ATI Mobility Rage M4 or the GeForce2Go. I originally had it shipped with the ATI card and exchanged it for the GeForce one at a later time.

well i took a look at the inner workins and it looked like i could easiliy take out my card and replace it..in anycase, my laptop is pretty much just used for music and music production, and the processer in it is pretty outdated if u ask me (PIII 784MHz), so im not doin much intense gaming on it anyways, i use my N64 emulator on it at tiems though, but i figured if i get a card with atleast twice the ram i might get better quality on it. In anycase thanks for the help.
