taking advantage of amd 64
Hey all
I just got a new laptop with an amd 64 3200 and an ati 200m gfx I was wondering as far as gaming goes is there anything I can to to take full advantage of the 64 bit aspect, like special drivers or special versions of software like fraps etc. and when exactly is it using 64 or is it always and Im just unaware thx

wait, I just got a Athlon 64 3000+, but Im just running XP Pro, does this mean I would have got the same preformance from a normal athlon?

No, the athlon 64 has a lot better memory handling and such than the older cpus. Also, you have a 64bit computer that you can upgrade your OS later. I don't believe you waisted money if that is what you are worried about. And doesn't it have better battery life.
