CD-RW Issues!

Hi everyone, I've looked around a while now but can't seem to find a solution for this problem...
I have an LG GCE-8523B 52x24x52 CDRW drive. It worked fine, but I just recently got access to the internet and have been updating drivers, etc for my computer. Tonight I upgraded the firmware for this drive from the original 1.01 to the current 1.04. The utility said it completed the upgrade no problem, but when I restarted, my computer no longer recognized the drive as a writable drive. I found a partial solution, by changing:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\CD Burning\Drives\Volume{227defa4-68f6-11d9-ac48-806d6172696f}\Drive Type] value to 2 (for an R/W drive, after flashing it was somehow set at 3 for a read-only drive). This re-enabled the Recording tab on the drive properties page, however, my Autoplay function is still unusable. Autoplay is enabled, I can read/play audio and data CDs as well as write/erase blank discs, but no title data is available for the disc when it is in the drive. I am running Windows XP Pro SP2.
