Intel scraps 4ghz prescott

USA Today reports that Intel is scrapping the 4ghz intel p4 processor. Looks like AMD was smart in making a chip that ran lower frequencies and did more per cycle for the long run.

Hmm... Looks like they are running into the limits of transistor based CPU's sooner than expected. I thought intel would at least make it to 6GHZ. Oh, and doesn't that dual core CPU they mentioned intel was working on sound a lot like sony's cell chip, only less advanced?

Any dual core chip is gonna 'sound' like that even tho the architecture is most likely miles apart!
