What brand is your card ?
Cause i've never seen any card use "The Cable" to transfer analog signal to vga port. IMO it's greatly reduce Image Quality. About your question , Yes you can add a fan (or two) in it Just Screw it on the Heatsink. If you don't want your heatsink to bend from screw (and void your warannty) , Just use External fan Blow the air to the heatsink . Just buy Vantec VGA Cooler (VANTEC Spectrum Fan Card ) it has 2 controlable fans. If you don't want to spend a lot money , just do it yourself (Like mine) Take a look at this picture , it's so easy you can make it yourself .

orysyz Your game is slowdown cause FX Series has an overheat protection function that slow your card's clock speed down if temps is too high (i think 140c by default) .
So... it's good idea to add some extra cooling to your card .

i have a TNT2 M64. it does get hot; but not hot enough to pay mind to. my FX5600 gets to 55-65, that's not too bad for a gfx card. hell, on real hot days when it gets to 72C, that's when it hits the first yellow bar in nvidia's drivers
![]() videocards can take a LOT more heat than CPUs |
