Intel 845 board

my brother in law bought intel i845GEBV2(or is it i845 GBEV2...?) this board supports FSB 533 and PC2700 RAM, however according to the manual book, PC2700(333Mhz) can only archieved by using FSB 533 processor, sadly his processor is only have FSB 400 so he asked me how to set the RAM into 333Mhz without using FSB 400 processor, I try to look into the BIOS but the Bios doesn't allow me to set other value, only 266Mhz although his RAM support PC2700, he asked me to find a program that can allow him to use DDR333 on FSB 400 processor, but I cant find any of it on the internet so I came to this forum, Is there any software that can make this kind of thing happen?

I don't think that's possible. When I looked around for mobo's last time, most of the mobo's i look clearly stated that to use ddr333, your proc must be 533fsb.

first, you don't want your processor to be out of sync with the ram, it would impede on performance if you don't set it right.

if you have an fsb of 400 (100x4, p4 is quadpumped), it is optimal to set the speed of ram to 100Mhz (ddr 200)

for 533Mhz bus processors, it is optimal to set ram to 133Mhz (ddr 266)

but the BIOS only allow DDR266 no other option like DDR200, Intel BIOS sure is strict.
