Talking Drivers, DRIVERS AND MORE DRIVERS!!!

hey i got a nvidia fx 5900 and i was woundering if anyone can tell which was the best driver. i recently came across the stormstar or something and omega. the problem is i got the last nvidia onses 53.03 and i got blue screen with it so im afraid to upgrade again, but is it a big performance gane on 53.03 and i tried the storm star onses and they seem to have made a little diference on image quality but for me it just seen like these drivers turn on texture sharpening. can anyone give me advice on which driver i should be using at curent i am using 52.16.

yeah the latest 53.03 official ones, make sure you uninstall the current drivers on your computer before updating or downgrading the drivers.

Yeah that's why I said that you should uninstall them first, also try looking for registry entries (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\Global HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Filters HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global. If you have nview profiles stored they'll be deleted too, sometimes deleting these registry key solve some issues like yours), that the normal uninstall can't wipe out. You can aid your uninstalling process with the 3x.xx to 4x.xx detonator fix, it deletes some archives and registry keys as well, grab it from guru3d.com. Also, once you ran the utility or uninstalled the drivers go to your windows\system32\drivers directory and delete the nv4_mini.sys, after that go to windows\system32 directory and delete the nv4_disp.dll, after deleting the files windows may compain that you're deleting vital files and it won't work bla bla, say yes and then install the 53.03.

EDIT: Remeber that this drivers are DX9 compliant, so you should have it installed.
