be sure to watch the video too, that stuff is incredible. Heh, i want a liquid nitrogen cooling system too . That compressor is probably loud as hell though.

But Its not practical. Yes, you can achieve speeds as high as 5 Ghz, but it would cost you alot for the cooling system ;p Still incredible though.

Isn't ln cheap? I thought you could get it for dirt cheap, but it's probably the equipment that costs the most. And it couldn't stay on all night, because you would probably have to keep refilling the ln tank.

they had a specially modafied asus mobo, and they had to special order the copper tube from germany... those were probably the most pricy. and i'd imagine once that ice melted, you'd be in for some trouble. It's impossible from compeltely stopping condensation, the insulation only stopped it from spreading too far.

Quite an amazing feat. I still have some doubts about the stability though. I don't have the guts to try and overclock my Processor .

very cool. the point about putting watercoolers to shame... well if they can run that 24-7 for months then yeah it would. As is, its just a cool project.

Hey, The Khan Artist. You might want to add the 'www' to your link, it won't work without it.

Yeah good but where are the benchmarks at these speeds? maybe it wasnt stable enough to get anything more than a CPU-z grab at 5ghz but they say it was completly stable at 4.7ghz but still no benchmarks..

meh, four years ago there was some guys that oc'ed a 1.9 ghz p4 to 3.9 ghz iirc. They used a simple nitrogen cooling system made of a copper cup holding liqud nitro directly on top of the proccy.
