Windows hANGS while shutting down?
ive seen this error befour and i cant remeber where to find the fix becuase my computer is hanging on the windows is shutting down and then it decides to turn off so can anyone help!! win xp by the way

open up regedit and locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control. In there will be a entry called "WaitToKillService". Change the value to 0 and try to shutdown now. I had the same problem with avast! too...

Do you have Service Pak one installed? You should get it if you don't. You need a Legit Copy of Windows XP, or a legit CD key (or a key changer
 ) to install it though - I hope you paid for your Windows!

yea my xp hangs to but only if i got ad-watch on i had to give the comand twice before my comp shut downs or restarts
