Fu*C Nvidia optimized drivers...

You must try this drivers "StarStorm Detonators"

Basically they take the original Detonators and change the quality settings to "real" quality. I must say these are the best looking Nvidia drivers I have ever seen. Espect some performance drop. They seem perfectly fine under emulators. I haven't tested game performance yet but I imagine a few fps drop have to be lost.

Sooo crispy!

I'm using Quality Driver: Version 45.23

I really think you should try them fivefeet8 and anyone else with Geforce cards

StarStorm? Are they better than Omega's drivers?

The newest omega drivers enable the high quality mode only for Open GL. D3D seems to run in performance mode. That's what the release info says so I didn't bother getting them.

But the drivers I'm using I swear they look fuc*ng sweet.

I tried Omega drivers before but with my GF4 and now that I'm using the StarStorm Detonators. The Omega drivers look like nothing special. Of course that was then on a GF4. The FX 5900U has better IQ.

If you decide to try the StarStorm Detonators get the 45.23 since this detonators are said to deliver the best image quality.

I lost about 900 3Dmarks on 2001 I heard 3Dmark 03 seems to run faster with this drivers for some people. Emulation seems to be full speed as usual for me 60/60 with 1280x1024 8XS FSAA and 8X AF.

You can notice a huge difference using AF in N64 emulation so damn crispy. Even with no AF everything is so clear, colorful and crispy.

I really recommend them if you can handle some performance hit. Like those with GF4 or FX cards.

Oh yeah another thing about the Omega drivers that I didn't like is that you should only change FSAA and Vsync, changing anything else could make the work done on image quality go away.

Have you tried the new 51.75's? Saulin? I'm testing them right now and so far it's looking good.

Nope no yet. I heard it has some bugs although image quality overal looks good. I probably will wait for the final release though.

Re: Fu*C Nvidia optimized drivers...

Who makes these StarStorms? is it a third party "freelancer"? Or is it "official"?

Just curious

IIRC Xaero001 makes the starstorm drivers, he's at Guru3d forums and these drivers are like Omega's unofficial

Here is some info on the StarStorms dets from the guy that released them. Plus that thread should have a lot of feedback for the drivers.
