Angry Help! Computer Noises!

My computer is making weird noises! every so often, it will begin a barrage of clicking in random order. Also, sometimes it makes a soft sound like a vehicle hitting something. What are these!!!???

Re: Help! Computer Noises!

make sure there's nothing loose in your case, and the clicking noise could be from your hard drive

Wow that was fast! I'm pretty sure its not the hard drive, but there are some loose wires that were supposed to connect to the motherboard but didn't have space (You know, the ones that are attached to the case).

Re: Help! Computer Noises!

well tuck those wires somewhere, get some twist ties and tie some wires together, this will keep it more organized.

The wires are actually tucked away in a hole on the side of the case, away from the mobo and important stuff, and since they are not powered, they shouldn't be making noise! And what about the truck sounds?

The Hard drive clicks? since when?(my old one did not do this)

Re: Help! Computer Noises!

The "truck noise" could be your CD or DVD ROM drive spinning up.

My CPU fan can't be old, I just bought it and the processor 3 weeks ago!

And the truck noises seem to be coming from deep within the computer, while my DVD roms are not active at all.
