Re: $1000 video card with water cooler!
i've seen this before. Talk about ugly, MaximumPC's dream machine 2003 (with a voodoo cooler) had a nicer looking heating block. Plus, the water cooling unit cools the cpu too, and it costs 300 dollars. You add in a 500 dollar GF FX 5900, and it's still priced less than this monstrosity.

Re: $1000 video card with water cooler!
Because it's a bad investment. It's be equal to flushing hundreds of dollars down the toilet. Even if you had money to spare spending it on such junk would be damn foolish. In 6 months there'll be something faster and better, and hundreds of dollars cheaper. You'd get a lot more out of that money from upgrading other computer parts.

Re: $1000 video card with water cooler!
For 1000 dollars i could already buy a Radeon 9800 pro, and a Swiftech GPU WB or a CNCed WB...... and it'll still be priced much, much less.......

Re: $1000 video card with water cooler!
well, i mean for those dollars...he can surely get something comparable for the same price. like a FX5900 and a full system cooling....
hell if he has the money and wants to go extreme get a liquid nitrogen cooling, that is INSANE |
