removing hs

hey
i got like 6 fans in total in my case
temp hangs around 60degrees..
...and in order for me to install a new hs
i need to know how to remove the stock one
between the fins, i got this latch thing securing it
to the mobo.... i can't get it off... anyone know
how to?? it's like clipped on.. i push down..
but i can pull it over the ridges...

suggestions?

Yes you have to push the clip down and out of the socket. Be very careful, amd cpu is fragile and it might be broken if too much pressure is applied.

If you are not sure, bring your motherboard along to the store where you buy the new hs and ask the store clerk to do it.

Or you can ask your friend who has xp to do it.
