Unhappy radeon 9100 pci or geforce 5200 pci

i want to know should i get a visiontek radeon 9100 at fry for $110 usd $69 after rebate or geforce5 5200 for $120 also at fry's
i cant buy from the internet so dont suggest that and dont suggest i get a upgrade on my whole system because i cant my parent dont think so and it wont be for another 2 maybe 3 year before i can get a job i mean im only just starting high school
so 9100 or 5200
i would get a radeon9600 or a gf5600 or above, but no agp slot here
so im limited to those
i also read a forum about the same subject but they didnt answer my question well enough
anything would be better then my intergated intel stuff

my spec is 2.0ghz celeron 256mb !845 intergrated graphic (get about 15-30fps on mw4merc at 800*600 max setting ,lowest setting in gta3 get about 15to20fps) 60gb hd ,combo cd16x4x16/dvd drive16x something like that not really sure about the drives

Get that R9100. GFX5200 suitable if you're really don't have enough money to spent.

Re: radeon 9100 pci or geforce 5200 pci

9100 = 8500. 8500 = 4x2 card. 8500 > 5200

9000 < 5200

9200 < 5200

Re: radeon 9100 pci or geforce 5200 pci

if i o/c the card what the highest i can overclock it w/o changing the cooling fan or adding heatsinks and having no anomoly ,distortion, crashes or problem.

all the computer store that are near me that i have check dont supply video card accessories so no new fan
i havent check one store yet but i think they only have nvidia heatshink will those be compatible with the 9100

Thats what I mean by 4x2 :P

Means it can double its texel fill rate without requiring additional pipelines.

Radeon 9000 cards have half the texel fill rate

Here's the fill rate of the two cards

Radeon 9000

1 gigapixels/s (250 core x 4 pipes)
1 gigatexels/s (250 core x 4 pipes x 1 TMU)

Radeon 9100/8500

1.1 gigapixels/s (275 core x 4 pipes)
2.2 gigatexels/s (275 core x 4 pipes x 2 TMUs)

A pixel is a single dot on your monitor. A texel is a textured pixel, a pixel that has gone through the rendering process. Having 2 texture mapping units (TMUs) allows you to apply two textures on a single pixel in a single pass, thereby doubling its potential fill rate, but only for multitexturing games (pretty much all modern games use multitexturing).
