Well the topic says it all. It is made by Raid Max and has a trasparent window on one side so you can look inside and see all the parts. I also bought rounded cables (instead of the flat ones) to "tidy" things up inside. It came with a 420 Watt power supply (I took the other "flaky" 500 watt PSU back) and 3 case frans already in. I've added other fans and I now have a total of 10 fans (counting the cpu, video card, and mother board fans) inside the case. It is also made out of aluminum (the other case was made out of steel) so now I should not have to worry over heating anymore. Especially w/all the fans and the aluminium construction. It's wider than my old case as well so there is more room for better air flow also.
Finally, the fans I have light up and glow and I got a cool blue neon light for the bottom of the case so the whole interior lights up and glows w/a neon glow. I'm really happy w/it and now I feel that my PC is complete. Just wanted to share w/everyone. sincerely, sx/amiga |

Re: Got a nice new case
Nice
![]() Edit: I am planning to do a window mod myself and then duct the fresh air to my hsf, after I buy my new hdd. What do you think a cutting head for plexiglass for a drill press would cost to cut out a small 80mm fan hole?

Re: Got a nice new case
I will do the same except use my dad's laser engraver to do the cutting...much cleaner. Oh, heh and that picture is just an educated guess.

Re: Got a nice new case
I bet this is exactly what it is. http://www.svc.com/rasc66alcaw41.html It looks soooo cool, I want one.
And does Aluminum really keep things cooler?

Re: Got a nice new case
great sxamiga, dhkimboa showed me a custom made totally transparent case, it's really cool. You can see everything through that case.
10 FANS??? Doesn't it make too much noise sxamiga?? Unicron, that case is like the Xaser(Thermaltake cases), they're pretty nice except for the prices. Those are too damn expensive. Why everybody like the neon lights? I think cases look like bizzare taxis with those lights. I don't like that. Last edited by Phoenix; August 4th, 2003 at 19:01. |

Re: Got a nice new case
Congrats sxamiga, the case sounds cool, though *ten* fans? damn.
I'm going to be doing a similar thing with my new case - it's aluminum & comes with a pre-modded window, & I'll grab some colored round cables, & some lcd fans (plus an lcd blue psu) to throw in there too.

Re: Got a nice new case
HA! Ppl getting nervous by sxamiga's new case, huh? I will also changing my case, the new one from Thermaltake, Xaser III. Like what Unicron showed above, just the color is red and silver
. About price I think $140-$160.

Thanks everyone for all the nice replies. Unicorn, your picture is very close to what my case looks like. GSDragoon, you hit it right on the head with that link. That is my case, except that it is a midnight blue color instead of the green one in the picture. I perfer the midnight blue to the green.
Phoenix, actually the ten fans aren't that noisy at all, my Thermaltake Volcano 7+ CPU fan is the loudest and the case cuts down on it's noise by quite a large margin. alguna chica, thanks. As for the ten fans, well let's just say that I was having an overheating problem before and could have fried my AMD Barton 3000 CPU. Fortunately I didn't but I don't want to take any chances. Plus I have a GF FX 5900 ultra video card in there and that can be a heat producer as well, or so I have heard. Maybe ten fans is a bit much, but I would rather have too much cooling than not enough. Lastly, thanks to GSDragoons link, here is a picture of my case, except that it is in Midnight Blue instead of green. Hope you all enjoy it. Click to enlarge the picture.sincerely, sx/amiga Last edited by sxamiga; August 5th, 2003 at 04:53. |

GSDragoon, you've got it again, except that my case is evn a darker blue than that. It is dark enough to be almost, but not quite, black.
Unicron, I owe you an apology, that is a picture of my case also, but in black instead of midnight blue. That is what threw me. sincerely, sx/amiga |
