I'm confused with my front USB/firewire ports.

ok I wanted to finally have my front USB ports on my case working but I'm a little confused as to how to go about this. I have a Chieftec case, uh the Dragon series I think and it has 2 USB 2 and one Firewire in the front. The problem is, the wires match to the FIREWIRE description in my motherboards manual. What do you suggest I try connecting? Should I just try and connect it to the Firewire pins or should I try and connect it in the same order but to the USB pins? COuld I risk screwing the mobo if I did so? If you need the full details on the wire labeling for the case I'll get it but all the labels match the Firewire description page...

Can you post a pick of the firewire plug? I'm a bit confused on what you are asking.

Are the connectors in 1 piece or are they all separate?

boy, your really helpfull. Oh well. I'll try and explain it again. The front port wires on my case are labeled the same as for the FIRE pins are labeled in the manual of the motherboard. However. THe front panel on the case has two USB and one Firewire. IF I plug it into the Firewire pins what will happen? Just the Firewire will work?
If I plug it into the USB 2 pins but in the same order as I would for the Firewire, (for example TPA+ to pin1) what would happen then?Still confused? Then just telll me if I can screw the mobo if I do something wrong...

ok I need help on this, there's one wire group that has a connector for three pins. THe problem is there's only space for two pins. Pins 7 and 8 on my first manual pic. They connectors are labeled D-, D+, and 5 volt. PLEASE TELL ME WHICH two should get connected to the pins 7 and 8.
THANK YOU

The reason why we can't help you is because we can't understand what you are saying.

The wires from the case should match up to the pins on your mobo. They connect just like the wires for the power switch, power LED, ect. I don't see what the problem is.
