uninstalling non-existent devices

How do I remove these devices (the disabled ones)? The problem is that they do not physically exist and cause booting problems: unless I disable them I cannot boot normally into Windows 2000.

I already tried uninstalling them, however I get the following error message: "Failed to uninstall the device. The device may be required to boot up the computer".

mhh maybe your registry got something screwed, have you tried Norton Win Doctor? It might help you to fix the registry allowing you to unistall the devices properly.

Or you could manually deleate them in regedit. I've done this before with virtual CD-Roms that refused to be unistalled.
