Need HELP!! LCD Problem..

ok, this is what happened, the OS is 98SE and the Monitor is IO DATA model DF15S, well i right clicked on the desktop, properties, settings, then Advanced, and the screen just went WHITE! i panicked and warm booted it, and there it is still! what should i do?
i tried booting it on DOS, the screen still white, can't even get to the bios. i'm afraid that i might've torched the LCD. I really need ur help guys, cause it is my sister's PC.
Can you tell what it might be? Thanks

the best probable solution... get it to the nearest computer repair shop...

if the monitor is still under warranty, them call them for technical support and repair...

repair, might be very expensive, (got no money) i'm saving that as my last resort. i think i can't ask for support coz, it was sent to us from japan. i went to their site, but i dont know japanese. didn't understand a d*mn thing.
I'd like to be able to repair it myself, im hoping its a software problem. Makes me shiver, just thinking about how much is needed to spend.

well what is the brand name of the monitor? you can call up the technical support if there is one in the country, try looking at the yellow pages...

well if the problem is still there even you have boot it many times, try asking some computer technician... don't bring your monitor yet...

also, try getting your monitor to a friends house and hook it on his CPU or bring your friends CPU at your house and check if it still got the same result...

well, I experienced this problem (LCD went white) trying to configure on my LCD notebook the Linux X Window System (that system which let u use Linux in graphic mode as MS Windows ), but after a reboot all went normal. So, the first thing I tell u to do is trying your LCD w/ another computer, so if u set a bad value for your LCD/computer, this value shouldn't be so there w/ another computer. Another test will be trying your computer w/ another monitor (LCD or not, better not LCD) and then re-plug your LCD. Anyway, I don't think your LCD is broken

Thx, bye

I got so frustrated, I've put the lcd back in the box (to be tinkered another time) And we've already decided to buy a CRT (after hearing hell from my sis and mom) , i will try that, but not just now. THNX.
And oh...I think the CPU's fine coz i can hear all the background beeps and music. (the BIOS POST beep, the windows login?? music, i can hear a sound when i press the start key in the keyboard, when i right click the mouse, when i shut down, and everything else you can hear from windows normally, only I can't see what it is.)
THNX AGAIN.

I've used 1024 by 768, 16bit high color, optimal refresh rate.
