I'll prolly get a GeForce FX 5600 Ultra, which is quite powerful, and has a normal cooler, not the FX 5800 one.

Its just too expensive. This Radeon 9500 Pro is the most I have ever spent on a graphics card and that was 220 US dollars.

No, I won't get it because its performance hasn't really impressed me and I already have a 9700 Pro. I'm sticking with ATi from now on anyway. ^^

Greetings,

I'm not sure if I'll buy one. It's too expensive, and I don't know if it's really all this money... Anyone here has the GeForce FX and can tell if it's really so good??

Live long and prosper.

Naw, I'm not going to buy it. ATI is 'better' (I always use this word loosely when it comes to computer hardware ) then nVidia in my books and I would rather have a 9700 pro. Plus, I don't think the estimated price is reasonable.

another case of brand loyalty... bad, really bad

well, it depends on what geforce fx that i am going to get, i'm prolly just going to get the regular 5200, which will be retailed at 79, so that will make me happy, and will go to my work computer. and hopefully, they make a pci version.

I probs won't be upgrading this time round. Maybe if/when I get a job, or I simply can't cope with the sluggishness of my machine. I'll probs go for an nVidia card then tho. They have never let me down, unlike ATi.

I don't think that there's a problem with brand loyalty. I mean, I would change after all if the competition outperformed my brand, but meanwhile it's a good idea to stick with a brand, thus supporting it and helping it.

I can't change what I have ATM, and I certainly won't be buying a new videocard for a couple of years. So if you have no choice, why not be loyal?

I used to be for brand loyalty but now I am for benchmarks! I won't be getting the geforce FX anytime soon - way to expensive! 500 - 600 bucks just ain't worth it. But I can't say that I will never get it.

I won't be getting a GeForce FX, I'm still aiming for a Radeon 9700 or 9500. The GeForce FX is more image than substance and is not worth it in my opinion.

Gamer1: I don't know what you have against brand loyalty. People have different opinions about things so let them have it. I for one favor Intel over AMD and ATI over Nvidia and I have my own reasons for it.
