From the Board Rules:

"4. Do NOT post in all caps. Capitalized words should be used only as a method of emphasizing certain words."

It also looks more annoying and as if you're shouting. Why go againts the accepted and rules of the language anyway.
Is your 1.6 a Wilamette or a Northwood? Anyways the stock cooler should handle some good amounts of overclocking. Try overclocking with the stock cooler first, and if youre not satisfied then read the heatsink reviews at overclockers.com and try to find a good one in the stores.

Hey Han, it's an A, so it's a NW with 512k cache
Btw, the stock cooler should be fine as long as you're doing mild overclocking.

Some places like mine don't sell something called heat sink, cooler, the only thing they have is fan a lousy fan so I decided to take a heat sink, a big heat sink(actually it's not for PC) and I saw it off into pieces that I like to have.

Personally, I would recommend a Vantec Aeroflow, cuz I've heard so many good things about it (easy installation, good cooling).

Also kindred, I'm suprisedthat you got a p4s8x! Prior to buying my MSI 648 max-l, I was going to buy that board, but I visited asusboards.com and found that so many people got screwed over by it (mem only running at 133mhz=266 instead of 333, not booting up, etc). So, I wuz just wondering how yours is doing?

BTW, I'm loving my MSI 648 max cuz I'm running my 1.8A @ FSB 137.95 (its weird cuz MSI overclocks the thing by default ) and 100% stable, proven by 24 hrs of Prime 95.

For me, i would go for more ram instead of a fan. A volcano 7+ costs the same thing as 256mb ddr333 over here. Or i mighta use the extra cash to get a c1. I find that the stock cooler is "cool" enough

And D.D, abt the msi boards, lotsa vendors here say that MSI boards have a lot of probs.. But dunno if thats true onot tho...coz the 648 is a really good board and function packed. Not to mention its real cheap too

You're crazy. the cheapest ram would be like 40-50 for that type and amount and a Volcano 7 is only $15. Don't kill me if I'm wrong
