Svideo TV out is awesome..

Ever since I've gotten my Geforce 4 ti 4600, the Svideo Tv out has been an outstanding option.. Especially since I've just gotten a huge 58" Flat Screen TV from Circuit City.. It's not HDtv, but playing emulated games and PC games on this monster size screen sure is amazing.. If I had a Digital Camera, I'd post some shots for you all, but let me say that NFSHP2 on the 58" TV is awesome..

Since the TV can only output a max of 640x480 res, I've also set the ingame res of games to that resolution, but bumped up FSAA to the MAX.. Suffice to say, on the 58" TV, games are awesome.. The whole Day yesterday, my brothers and I were messing with all sorts of games to see how they looked on it.. Emulated N64, Psx, SEga Genesis, Arcade Emus, and PC games never looked soo good..

We also watched a few DVD's and Divx Movies on it.. Awesome..

Indeed....it's amazing at times...

Might we also suggest some fiddling..particularly with 2D games? Use an emulator that uses a sprite filter...for example NeorageX "Edge Enhancement", and Super Eagle modes....now before everyone jumps on the bandwagon and begins preaching about 2XSAI....follow our train of thought for a sec.....both techniques put out a sharp image...the TV's normal interlaced display provides the slight interpolation (blur) effect commonly found in 2XSAI..so you kinda get the best of both....try it out...tell us what ya think..high res..beautiful

Yep.. I've been using Nebula to Play sfa3 on the 58" TV and tried out all the different filters.. 2xSAl and Super Eagle do look very nice, but nebula has a SuperScale filter which doesn't blur as much as 2xSAl or Eagle.. This filter looks very nice on my big TV..

I don't know, but I'm playing emulated games on the TV, not the actual consoles themselves..

yes, projection TV's in the past were susceptible to burn-in, because many older games, such as pacman, had static screens. But since the days of the NES it's rare to find a game with a static screens. Furthermore the technology for projection Tv's have improved since those days, so burn-in is not a threat anymore.

anyways, tv-out looks frigg'n sweet for several emulated games, and it looks even better when you add effects such as 2xSai and FSAA

S video should also be on ur gfx card, otherwise there would be a composite connection, if there is nothing except the display connector then U cannot connect ur PC to TV. If you have then simply connect ur PC and TV through the S-Video cable, thats it.
