dual channel ddr question... (or 2)
in a dual-channel ddr setup, you theoretically get more bandwidth... correct?
to my understanding, it's not very practical as an athlon can't take advantage of it... but what if you ran the ram at, say, 75% of your fsb. would you get the same performance as in a non-dual-channel setup running mem in sync? also, would running dual-channel give you more bandwidth efficiency, or no?

The Athlon cam take advantage of Dual DDR memory, Expecially when The Front Side bus starts getting raised.
But the margins right now are roughly 3-5% Gains. Is it worth using? Definately. Expecially if your overclocking. Just put an Athlon XP on the 333 Mhz FSB + Nforce 2 + FSB Overclocking and the extra bandwith is feasible and noticable |

If your Ram is running slower than your FSB it actually proves to create more latency IMO. Well not really just my opinion. It's always the opinion of tomshardware
