Question Eax

Does having EAX enabled on a SB Live sound card degrade performance in games? .. Does it cause a frame rate drop??

On a sound blaster live, EAX KILLS performance. Its a huge performance eater, I'd rather run a game in Dolby Surround mode than EAX, I hear on Audigy cards its different tho.

I haven't noticed any difference either. I'm guessing it does, a little, but nothing noticable.

I haven't ever noticed any slowdown because of it. It's supposed to be done on the card anyway.
