infrared port

uhmm im just wondering if i can buy something like an infrared card to add to my pc the famous infrared port (in fact i want to put a ringtone in my cell phone via infrared :P)

Never heard about that infrared port, anyway it should be in the outside of the pc, instead of making the ringtone by infrared try by code

FIR ports are avaliable on most new mobo's. You just need the connectors.

I have one at the back of my TV card for the remote sensor.

You plug the connector to the obo. How it get's to the outside is dependant on the connector.

Yeah i knew that it went to outside, but are there features involving any other products like the cell phone one or maybe an online game for a handheld?

Why bother with something that complicated when the manufacturer could have included something as simple as a connecting cable?

If you wanna upload a ringtne, there are USB serial and parrallel adaptors to the various types of phone, and software to go with it.

wowowowowoooooow! I need IR transfer very desparately, why...I'v got a wristcam, and a mobile and to share images I'v got to use this IR, also I'v got to share a lot of data between my laptop and PC, so my need for this is very important.

Kane: do I have to attach some adopter type thing
and secondly this might sound stupid, but can I use the IR of creative CDrom DigitalIR 52x
