3d glasses worth it?
Just read a few reviews of 3d glasses. These things are as close to VR as we can currently get to.
Are they worth it? I sit behind a pc more than 12 hours a day, will they give me a sore neck? Can anyone recommend a good pair? Thanks

I remember a really good pair coming with an AsusGF4Ti, but to buy them seperately... I think its easier to buy one online.
Wouldnt you need some special drivers, too? edit: I just noticed, you dont need to know where to buy one but which one to buy. I guess I suck.

Thanks, nah your cool. It's also helpful to know where you can buy one. I never knew they came with newer video cards. :o
Will the Radeon 9500 Pro/standard come with any? I have doubts about that, but anything is possible.

Erm, okay...
![]() Im not sure about the Radeon, but I dont think it'll come with one. I've only seen one video card come with a 3d glasses, and IIRC it was an Asus(almost sure of it) GF4Ti(most probably).

3d glasses were included with some Asus cards since the GeForce2 era (maybe even longer...)
Very important: 1) Does not work with LCD monitors. 2) you need high refresh rate. You're probably fine if your monitor can do 640x480 @ 120 Hz, so each eye gets 60 Hz. Otherwise forget it. Similarly frame rate is cut in half. They don't weight much, since these 3d "glasses" are all plastic. Effects are quite cool. But really isn't that natural anyway.

I got some 3D glasses with my Asus V7700 graphics card, they work ok, except they tended to give me a headache after a while

I assume becuase they were heavy and/or low refreshrate?
If you put strain on your neck you can get a headache I was told. Some 3d glasses do that. Also a low refreshrate can give you a headache as well. :/
