How much a ChainTech Geforce 4 TI4200 Benefit me.

My system specs are in the signature. I bought this MX about a month ago (I think it is two weeks), it is performing very well, it is really keeping my games at good gameplay level. I was getting a pretty good deal for a Geforce 4 TI4200 64 MB DDR. What I want to know is that how much benefit will I get from this upgrade.

Let discuss the increase in percentages. Tell me the percentage increase in

1) Gameplay Speed.
2) Graphics Quality.

Well I think I should post this one other thing in this same thread.okay! I was getting some slowdowns in the games, while playing GTA3, the frames remain quite obove the required level, but suddenly they would fall to like 5 to 10 fps. This never happened before, I formatted my computer and same problem prevails. What can be the cause.

My Detonator version is 29.42. Rest details are in the signature.
What Kind of a Hardware Freak am I lolz

I dont think anyone will be able to tell the speed increase percentages, but graphics will certainly look better with some extra shaders (and bump mapping?) on the Ti on some future games. You will have to try it out for yourself to know everything since different brands has different clock and memory speeds too.
The 64MB version has its memory clocked higher than the 128MB version, which means it will run faster with less detailed textures than the 128MB, but will run slower when high detailed textures are used. You should think of what games you're going to play before buying either version.... I'd get the 128MB if I were to play Doom3.

1) According to benchmarks I've seen it should more-or-less double your performance, depending on the game of course.

2) It depends on the game and the settings you use. The GF4 Ti has support for environment bump-mapping, vertex shaders and pixel shaders so games that use those features will be visually better on it. You should also be able to enable anisotropic filtering while still maintaining good frame rates. On typical DX 7 and OpenGL games the image quality should be the same.

Well I'v seen the benchmarks myself, and the increase is around of 2500 marks, right now my score is 4327, so with this card I will get like 6 to 7 thousand. hmmmm...okay, no one took notice of the slowdowns I mentioned.

if you are playing/want to play newer pc games like ut2003 and the upcoming doom 3, grab the gf4 ti 4200. if not, keep the gf4 mx 440.

oh btw, it will do about 6500~7500 3d marks on your machine. i've done this on my rig (1ghz overclock to 1.125 with 150 fsb) and it gave me 7200+ on an 800x600x32 resolution (my current monitor doesn't support the default resolution)

Well I got a huge increase in 3mark 2000 from the upgrade, about 2001 + points in 1024x786 in 32 bit color mode over my geforce 4 MX 420...

you should see a nice performance boost, I reccomend getting anyway for the new gamers coming out.
