RAM or HSF?

I have an Athlon xp 1800, reaching 59-63C at full load(side case open). Now im planning to get either a Globalwin CAK4-88t or another 128mb DDR. i can only afford one for the tme bring...so i need ur suggestions. thanks, BTW, i only have 128mb ram so far and gf2 mx400 64mb

does your system have any problems with the temperature? if its overheating i would go for a fan if it isn't get the ram

btw a Globalwin CAK4-88t is a fan, am i right?

That's pretty high for a AXP1800+. 45-53* would be about normal. Yours looks like it's a tad hot.

yes its a fan, a very good one too. check it out http://www.globalwin.com.tw look for cak4-88t, u might want to check GAT001 too!!
No prob with the temp so far, max temp is 95C right? JUst a precaution for the HSF, thanks

If your system runs stable then you don't need a new HSF. Just get the memory.

I'd consider that fan. That temp is a little high, especially when it hits 63c. I have an Athlon XP 1700+ and it never gets above 54c even at full load. Of course, I have lots of cooling, but what is more important, a little more memory, or possibly replacing your CPU down the road? I would say to go for the fan.

Yeah, i think ill go with the fan. coz the longer i wait for it the more my system's life shorten's(maybe). well its better to be sure than sorry. im going to get a cak4-88t, its a new product from globalwin. here's the link, http://www.globalwin.com.tw pls take a look at cak4-88t, let me know what u think about it. i dont want too noisy hsf, so pls,i need ur comment about this product. it just arrived here in my country,so ill order it tom'w maybe. and ya,i believe 63 is hot.i guess the mem can wait for a while. i used my allowance and savings to get that xp1800+mobo so i really want it to last. thanks everyone, tell me what u think of cak4-88t ok
