Overclocking Pentium 3

Hello, i need help to overclocking my old pc,P3 800, the problem is the ACER bios doesn't have options for OC...so can i OC it another way? Can somebody give a guide to do this?

why not change the fsb from the bios.

There is no advance options on acer bios, it a simple bios actually

It may have jumpers to set the FSB speed, don't even thnk about the multiplier because they are locked and will have no effect even when set to higher rates. Refer to your mobo manual (if you have it) or search the intenet for info on your board.

then the only other way (Besides getting a new mobo) is to use software overclocking. I don't really recommend this option tho.

i dont recomend software overclocking either. a i815 board isnt going to have jumpers for changing fsb. most boards got rid of jumpers arround the p2 era.

there are a few, such as softfsb or cpufsb. Whether you can use it on your motherboard depends if the software supports your PLL on your mobo, but i really REALLY don't recommend that you use it. Software (like OS registry) corruption is very very likely, so use it at your own risk.
