A celeron 1.8GHz. 400$ and a Geforce 4Ti. An excellent deal.

Very nice deal indeed. Put a nice soundcard in there and you are set.

Yes that is a great deal. Plus you can find SB Live 5.1 cards for not to much also. But one thing puzzles me, you said a GF4 TI 4300. There is no GF4 TI 4300. There is the 4200, 4400, and 4600 but, AFIK, no 4300.
sincerely,

The reason why computer prices are being slashed are because intel are bringing out a new piece of technology believed to be released next year (forgot name, think it is called "northwood" forgive if wrong). it will operate @ 3.0 Ghz+. it uses new chipsets

This is why you can get P.C's soooo cheap these days

You are correct about the Northwood Lord Kane. Those are the 2.2ghz and above cpus. The ones I'm waiting for are the Hammers from AMD. If they are anything like the XPs and T-Birds are (only faster) they will be fantastic.
sincerely,

Hammers are based on x86-64 to allow easier translation to 64 bit machines
