Exclamation Gamespot's Review of Radeon 9700 Pro

http://gamespot.com/gshw/filters/pro...562166,00.html

All I have to say is.... WOW. It's a kick ass card.... I wonder if Nvidia would be fast enough to catch to this kick ass Radeon? I wonder if Radeon 9700 pro is good with emulation too....

And what are you basing that on?

I can't find any info on NV30. Until I get further info on NV30, Radeon 9700 Pro is currently the best card out there....

From what I heard, 9700 Pro was released with a nice set of drivers. Plus, they had input from actual game makers to on how to make the card.... Well, at least ATI had learn from its mistakes, and of the lessons they learned is that a great card needs an even greater set of drivers.

I've looked around at computer web sites and it's hard as hell to find a motherboard that has an 8x AGP slot (which this card requires).

Radeons DO NOT REQUIRE AGP 8x, they merely support it.
Graphics cards have legacy support, the only problem I've ever had with an AGP port was with a brand new P4 board that didn't like cards which can't do less than 4x.
