Moved to Hardware Discussion.
You can check your chipset by checking your motherboard's manual or by using any utility like SiSoft Sandra. To overclock your system, you have to change some options in the BIOS (some motherboards don't have this options). You have to change either the processor's multiplier, or the FSB. You can check more info about overclocking in this page: http://www.overclockers.com/

Another great util to find out info about your mobo and/or CPU would be wcpuid.

Right-click My Computer>Properties>Device Manager>System Devices>check whatever before the "to PCI controller" "to AGP controller". Whatever before this message is your chipset.
If you want to know your mobo manufactor, then sorry, you'd have to use a program for that. Go with the suggestions above.

You can overclock your CPU through the FSB (front-side bus) in the BIOS. The i815 officially supports 66, 100, and 133 Mhz buses but you can use many other speed settings as well (although they'll throw the PCI and AGP bus off specs).

generally if you didnt build your computer yourself then your not going to be able to overclock it. prebuilt computers almost always (99.9999999% of the time) have the fsb locked. so if its a dell, compaq, hp, gateway etc., then your chances are slim. there are altenative ways to overclock with software but i dont recoment this at all. if you cant set it in the bios then don't do it period.
the p3 700E chip is known to be a decent overclocker and can usually hit 133 fsb which i believe is 933mhz? your motherboard will most likey not let you adjust the setting. |

Somebody telling you here to set your fsb speed to this or that could leave you with a very expensive mistake. Try to read up on it a bit more and understand what you're doing (and risking). If you can afford to pay for the hardware that you might fry, go for it.
