Geforce 3 TI200 is better, as it has pixel shader and nfinite graphice engine, its something new and improved in common terms, whereas the Geforcr 2 TI is also a good deal, and GF4 MX as everyone know what it is, just an overclocked GF2MX core.

Yeah, like Ali said, go with the GF3 because it will be much better in future games like UT2003 because of the shaders, and if I am not mistaken, they're quite fast too and if you're willing, you could overclock the memory and core speeds to around stock gf3ti500 speeds. Also, check www.newegg.com for a geforce 3 if you can, I am getting a Chaintech GF3ti200 for about 105$ here soon.

My friend got a GF4 MX 420 and IT SUCKS! He has a Duron 850, 256 DDR ram, and The GF4 MX420 and my computer can run games faster. Especally GTA3 and Warcraft3. Plus the card didn't like the 29.42 drivers or the Nvidia Refresh Fix program. It only liked the 27.?? drivers that it cam with. GF4 MX's SUCK, DON'T GET THEM!

Geforce4mx is Nividia basically misadvertising and lying.
Its nothing more then a sooped up geforce2. It uses the same CORE!! So the list you gave the gf2 and the gf4(though better speeds) are the same. Get the GF3ti200. Its got directx 8 support of which games using it are fiiinally coming out in the market. < / end real advice> ********************** < humor > Then again, its like asking which is better...the pinto or a delorian. Get yourself the flux capasitor and go delorian all the way.

Btw $210 is awefully expensive for a Geforce 3 ti 200, I got mine for $160 and that was back in January, now the price is much lower. Try buying online http://www.pricewatch.com they have very low prices. For $210 you can get a geforce 4 ti 4400 :eyes:

Well they are still that price in Best Buy rip off stores..ie retail.
Some people still prefer the "safety" of being able to physcially walk into a store to talk to someone if something goes wrong.

Wow, a GF4 420 for $180? Sounds like a rip-off...I picked up a Ge-Force 4 MX 440 for $120...I was only willing to spend up to $160, so I feel it was a good buy, especially to get rid of that voodoo curse of a card (Voodoo3 3k AGP)...and I can play OGL games now
. Then again, if a GF3 TI is in the list, TAKE IT!

I see that you really want the card with TV out, if that's important go for the GF3 Ti200 but I'd recommend you the GF4 Ti 4200 it's like $200 to $230 dlls
check here http://www.bestbuy.com/ComputersPeri...t=521&scat=522 and here: http://www.circuitcity.com/ewebIMa/f...nd+Accessories |

if you don't mind spending between 115 to 180 (us funds) then i'd suggest getting a radeon 8500 ,8500 le, or a geforce 4 4200, as they all out perform the gefore 3 ti200's by a pretty big margin and aren't very expensive if bought online. although if you really want a gefore 3ti200 then atleast get it online from ebay, pricewatch, or some place similar. 200 is way to much to spend on a gf3 if you ask me.

you should be able to get a gf3 ti200 for around 90-110 (us funds), so yes I'd say 140 is a bit over priced, as the radeon 8500 le is also cheaper than 140, if bought online, and it retails locally where im at for 150.

A GF2 TI would beat a GF4 MX 420 since the GF 2 TI is equal to or above the GF2 Ultra and Pro and those two were the top of the line GF2 cards. But between the GF2 and the GF3 TI 200, I would reccomend the GF3 TI 200, it will do every a GF3 TI 500 will do, it just runs at a slower clock speed. The GF3 Ti 200 is defiately your best bet.
GuardianAli, I like your "new" sense of humor much better. Thanks a lot.sincerely, sx/amiga |
