how to use 4 x FSAA
i read about fsaa but i dunno what is that how do i turn it on
i have a geforce 4 mx 440

Go to display properties ->settings -> advanced -> GeForce 4 MX 440 -> additional properties -> 3D anti-aliasing. I think that's it anyways, I'm not at my computer right now. It should be somewhere in the display properties tho. If you're using the manufacturer drivers then look in the manual for the setting.

is fsaa really neccessary, does it improve ur system preformance?:confused:

actually, it degrades it
its made to improve the overall image quality: smothes, edges, blurs stuff a bit, makes textures nicer, etc... FSAA == Full screen anti-aliasing

Thanks. I'll just leave it on because im not playing must 3d games but a lot of 2d games

well, if u are playing 2D games with epsxe or Zsnes (i really dont know if u mean with any emulator
) be sure to enable the 2XSAI or SuperEagle filters if u go for 3D, FSAA will make stuff much nicer

Actually Neojag, FSAA only degrades your system performance if you have a lower end system. If you have a high end system (like I do) it can actually enhance performance. I run my games w/2xSAI, full screen smoothing, and 4x9tap FSAA and they run full speed and look great.
