why does every1 have better graphics cards than me!!!!!!
i got basically the latest hp 500a (i know..entry level) as a present and there is nothing atl i can do with it 3d-wise!!
this thing is seriously only good for enocding divx; no bloody agp slot or anything, just a real little 4mb onboard card that cant do 32bit or be upgraded (pci = $$$) limited to 1024×768 on this monitor too (big enough tho; 512×384 dont work) opengl is limited to s.l.o.w and no red, just blue/green

Try getting another PCI videocard to replace or override your existing one. There are some good ones out there like the GeForce 2 MX 400 and the Radeon 7500.

Your first mistake was buying a pre-manufactured PC. Next time, build your own computer. As long as you don't try to force a square peg into a circular hole, it's really simple to do. Your second mistake was getting a horribly ****ty HP that uses a motherboard which shouldn't be allowed to exist on God's green earth due to the reason that it doesn't have an AGP slot. No motherboard should be without an AGP slot in this day and age.
Go get yourself AT LEAST a GeForce4 Ti4200. You can easily overclock the 4200's to 4400 specs, and you can also overclock the 4400's to near-4600 specs if you're careful. Also, DO NOT get the GeForce4 MX if you're looking for a powerful video card. It's nothing but a rebadged GeForce2 MX in terms of performance, so you'd be better off getting a GeForce2 MX to save some cash. |

being stuck without AGP is like owning a MAC you have to think "Differently" and make comprimizes
The only good PCI graphics cards I know of are the Geforce 2MX 400 or ATI radeon 7000 series card. I doubt you'll find a geforce 2GTS or higher for a PCI bus

you had to buy a intergrated graphics system. The only reason they are cheap is because they suck. I went to a GeForce2 from a SiS 730S, but I had a AGP slot.

On second thought. My PC only cost me around 450-500 after parts

Esturk17 and BDA7DD, as i can see you to are fighting for no reason. Why don't we stop this and give suggestions to heihachi instead.
