If you ask me I would recommend you two brands GIGbyte and Asus....because my expirence with these two has been quite good.....I dunno whether they have dual processor boards or not.......!

Maybe someone else would give a even more better suggestion.

Heres 2 options for you....

TYAN Tiger MP Dual Athlon (Socket A motherboard) (MB-000-TY)
The first Dual Athlon motherboard available this has been met with rave reviews everywhere it has been seen. Dual Athlon support is not the only special feature of this board, designed with power in mind it includes 4x64bit PCI slots (backwards compatible with 32bit cards), as well as 2x32bit PCI and 4x AGP and 4 DDR-SDRAM slots as standard, supporting upto 3GB of registered PC2100 DDR-SDRAM

Asus A7M266-D Dual Athlon (Socket A motherboard) (MB-007-AS)
The Asus A7M266-D expands on the popular A7M266 with the addition of dual processor support, able to utilise 2 AMD Athlon MP processors running in SMP configuration or a single AMD Athlon XP processor this is the perfect option for processor heavy applications and busy servers

Depends what country your from I spose but in the UK its around 220.

Bit more info
Featuring :
4 x 184pin DDR-SDRAM slots (requires registered dimms to use more than 2 slots)
3 x 32 bit PCI slots
2 x 64 bit PCI slots
1 x AGP (4x) slot
6 channel onboard audio
CPU Thermal Protection (prevents processor 'burning out')

Just as an aside. The home edition of Win XP does not support multi processors. You'll need either win2k or Xp Pro to get the benifit of the second chip.

FireGL: What are your motives for building such a system?

Only have dual CPU's if you have apps that support it. Games (in general) don't.

Unless the game is written for two cpu's, it won't be any faster. In fact in some games it'll run slower, as system resources are used by the extra cpu. Very very few games are written to take advantage of an extra cpu.

Take a look at this article:
http://www.gamepc.com/reviews/hardwa...1&mscssid=&tp=

As you can see, apllications that aren't prepared for dual cpus have almost no change in performance even with the latest cpus(both intel and amd). It's just a waste of money.
